Q: What is the refund policy? PDF Print E-mail

A: Once the details of your video shoot have been discussed and agreed on, you will be charged a non-refundable 50% deposit to make your video shoot reservation. After that, you may cancel up to 1 week in advance to avoid the balance charge. Cancellations within 1 week will still be assesed the other 50%. The reason for this policy is that since we have committed to the chosen date/time for your shoot (and likely have had to pass on other opportunities for this same time since that commitment), and since it is then very unlikely we will be able to fill this time slot again within 1 week's time, this is the only way in which we can create schedules which are respectful of the time of all parties involved.

Overcast/gray skies, snow or light rain are not adequate reasons to cancel the shoot. We can still shoot in these conditions (and we often do), and get good, fun footage to use. We're sorry, but in Vermont blue skies cannot be guaranteed. Obviously, if the weather/resort makes it impossible for us to go out and shoot the planned activity on the actual shoot date (ie. lifts not running), or if Smuggs Vacation Videos should decide to cancel the shoot (ie. hazardess travel weather, scheduling conflicts, random acts of life, etc.), full refunds will be given, including the initial 50% deposit.
